Company History

At Smart Comply we have over 30 years of experience within the recycling industry and have operated our packaging compliance scheme since 1998..

Smart Comply Ltd began as Paper Collect Company or ‘PAPCO’. In 2018 we rebranded as Smart Comply in order to bring the compliance scheme in line with its meaning. Originally, the scheme was designed for the paper merchant trade. However, over the years, as the scheme developed and grew, we have taken on obligated businesses from all sectors, such as automotive, retail and many more.

Smart Comply is now both a packaging and WEEE compliance scheme and our membership has grown to include some of the UKs largest retailers and paper merchants. Our members benefit from our PRN market knowledge, and we keep them fully informed on all regulatory developments and consultations including EPR. We believe we could provide you with a service that will not only give you value for money but also give you confidence that your obligation is being calculated correctly and handled with care and skill.
